Artem Stafiy

Artem Stafiy was born on January 3, 2016, at the age of seven months, with complex heart defects – transposition of main vessels, closure of the oval window of the heart, and severe concomitant lung disease (pulmonary artery stenosis).
When the boy was 2 days old (January 5, 2016) at the Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery in Kyiv, the child underwent the first operation – shunting Rashkint.

Subsequently, the boy also underwent surgery to restore the position of the main vessels, reduce pulmonary artery stenosis, and eliminate other comorbidities. To date, Artem has undergone six such operations.
The For the Children of Ukraine Charitable Foundation also joined in helping the boy by purchasing a micro-spiral embolization multi-twist (type-B) and an embolization spiral Micronester.
